Pencil Drawings After Drawings by Charles Bargue

by Kelly Borsheim

About a century and a half ago artist Charles Bargue [French Painter, ca. 1825/6/7 - 1883], perhaps in collaboration with his contemporary Jean-Léon Gérôme [1824 – 1904], created a series of drawings, primarily of sculptures, with the intent to teach young artists how to see and draw line, shapes, and tone. These copies shown here were drawn by Kelly Borsheim, an American sculptor working in Italy. All drawings are for sale, unless noted otherwise. Please contact the studio or one of the galleries, if interested in an original figure drawing by Kelly Borsheim. Thank you.
