I hope your summer is not nearly as hot and dry as mine is here in central Texas!
100+ degree F. days and mandatory water rations have started.

Anyway, I have a new work-in-progress to share with you.

FREE TICKETS
First come, first served:

Two annual sculpture shows featuring over 500 artists are set for August 11-13, 2000, in Loveland, Colorado, US. One of these is the Sculpture Invitational and in this show, I will be exhibiting marine and figurative works.

I have 6 tickets for the "by invitation only" Patron Party. Each ticket admits two people. The Patron Party is held Friday, August 11th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Loveland High School – Owens Field.

Complimentary beverages (beer, wine, and soft drinks) and light refreshments will be served. The show is open to the artists, the press, galleries, show volunteers, and the invited guests of each participating artist. My information packet about the Patron Party says to "dress up."

If you will be in Loveland for the big sculpture weekend and would like to attend the Patron Party as my guest, please contact me sometime in July, and I will either mail you the requested tickets or have them available in my booth in Loveland for you on Friday afternoon, August 11th. I only have 6 tickets, so I will give them out in the order of the requests received. Thank you for your support. I hope I will see you in August.

AWARDS

I am pleased to announce that on May 6, 2000, I was awarded both 1st Place in Sculpture (for the bronze "Sharon") and 1st Place in Oil Painting (for "Mari") at the Salinas Spring Arts Gala in Bastrop, Texas. Both works were featured in the April 2000 print newsletter.
