This is the first painting I have ever done of Kollin, but Kollin, an artist himself, has been modeling for the Artists' Coalition of Austin's life drawing sessions a lot more now. This is another painting that lets you know I am fascinated by triangles and the relationships of body parts to each other. To create this particular painting, I used alizarin crimson, veridian green (both transparent oil paints), and titanium white (opaque). The painting is mostly the crimson colour, but I used the opposite green to tone down the bright reddish hue. The frame is painted to match. This painting is one of my favorites.
