This is one of my stronger works and it sold the first time it was publicly displayed only a couple of months after I painted it in early 1999. I guess I was rather surprised because someone had told me that male nudes never sell. I don't know why I put much stock in that after I sold Mauricio (left side), but some of the oddest things that people say to me seem to stick with me as a point of interest (or perhaps a dare?).
