Mari (pronounced Mah rhee) is a sweet model. I hope I get to paint her again. I like the challenge of painting hands and I liked the composition of this pose since it also shows a peek of a foot. I also like the long vertical shape of the canvas and hope I have time to explore more of this shape.

Mari won 1st Place in Oil Painting at the Salinas Spring Arts Gala in Bastrop, Texas, on May 6, 2000.
