Usually painting and sculpting nudes (both male and female), I find the human body to be sacred. I am interested in portraying an individual, not just an ideal. Often my artworks are named after the models who inspired them. "Kristen" is one of the rare portraits I have done. I just loved the model's distinctive profile and even the freckle on her breast. But I was taken especially by the strong backlighting hitting her curvaceous form. Other details, such as the tendril of hair falling down the model Kristen's neck, are the kinds of beautiful things one can discover in each person.
