[Canthigaster] Puffer
Reef fish are so much fun to watch! There is a peacefulness there; sometimes it seems playful. This sculpture was based (ever-so-loosely) on the Canthigaster (or puffer) family of fish and the oh-so-sculptural Rugosa coral.
This stone sculpture is carved from a raspberry-banded alabaster from Utah (all one piece). The artwork is mounted on a cherry (wood) base and weighs 81 pounds. This is a one-of-a-kind sculpture.
