Chest Piece

I absolutely LOVE this wall-mounted sculpture! It just keeps growing on me -- from my fascination in pouring the waxes to seeing the bronze emerge from the investment mold to the final patina and waxing process. I adore the textured feel of this bronze that MAKES me yearn to reach out and touch it, as well as the way the light falls on the various surfaces. I also have fun handpicking the stone backing for this small "Chest Piece." This figurative sculpture is also available in a size 4 times as large, titled Shield.

The bronze "Chest Piece" shown above has a silver-black patina and is mounted on a white marble. Other patinas and stone combinations are also available, such as the ferric (warm brown) patina shown at left (with marble backboard) and the warm green patina (right) mounted on a cream-colored travertine stone. Each artwork is numbered, dated, and signed on the back on the bronze.

The bronze "Chest Piece" shown on either side has a rich reddish-brown patina with black veining and is mounted on a "Juperana Tobacco" granite. This piece is numbered 6 and signed on the back of the bronze. Size is 8" h x 6" w x 1.75" d.
