Some people claim that the female form is the most beautiful of all forms in life. To be fair, most vocal comments tend to be heard from my hetero male or lesbian friends, but it is undeniable that the human female body has inspired artists for centuries.
I guess I see the female body as something familiar, yet intriguing -- perhaps because I have one. But I also see it as only half of a yin/yang type of relationship with other forms. Men tend to be more angular, women more round. There are more similarities in human bodies than differences, yet -- consistent with the duality of our universe -- each is unique.
Both sexes are beautiful, worthy of our exploration and admiration. I hope you enjoy my depictions of the female form.
Many of the pages of the individual sculptures will include some text and images of the work as it was being created. If you would like to see more about the lost wax bronze casting process, please visit my bronze casting page. Thank you for visiting.
